BARTG Contests now part of RSGB HF Championship

The RSGB Contest Committee are looking forward to the BARTG Sprint this month, now that it is included in the HF Championship table.

Hopefully, as this arrangement becomes general knowledge, there will be greater participation from UK contesters as a result, although this will, of course, take time. The link to the RSGB HF Championship page is:

This weekend the RSGB Contest Committee will be emailing anyone who has recently participated in the data section of the 80m Club Championship contests, to tell them about the link with BARTG, and the inclusion of the Sprint in the HF Championship. This news will also be mentioned in the GB2RS news this week.

All RSGB members in the UK entering BARTG Sprint and HF RTTY contests will have their callsigns included in the HF Championship table — this is an automatic process, and they don’t have to enter. However, to do well in the HF Championship, they would also need to enter four other RSGB HF contests from the list, which is not too onerous. This means that data enthusiasts will now be able to participate in the HF Championship the first time. This can only be good for BARTG and also the RSGB and will make RTTY Contesting ever more popular.

Don’t forget too that contacts in contests count toward the BARTG awards.
