John has been a committee member since taking over as the (then) Contest Manager in 1990 and was BARTG Chairman from 1990 to 1997 (see list for the current Contest Manager and Chairman). A keen homebrewer, he mainly operates on HF RTTY with a mix of commercial and home built equipment. John has an extensive archive of BARTG and RTTY related material, and a great interest in the theory and history of RTTY contesting.

John also handles requests for DXpedition sponsorships.
